About Me

Hello and welcome to the therapy office of Sarah Izaguirre.
During my spare time, I enjoy spending time outdoors engaging in activities such as hiking and swimming. I also love spending time with my family, which now includes two kids and a baby. When I can, I like challenging myself by engaging in physical activities such as weightlifting and CrossFit.

I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Diego State University. Once I completed my undergraduate studies, I attended the University of Nevada-Las Vegas to earn my Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. While attending UNLV, I worked at the Center for Individuals, Couples, and Family Counseling (CICFC). This experience helped me develop the skills needed to successfully work with adolescents, individuals, couples, and their families in order to assist them in addressing their mental health concerns, processing their trauma, and developing healthy coping skills. I am in good standing with the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #104760.
Therapy Services

Child &Â Adolescent Therapy
I work with children and adolescents to assist them with overcoming trauma, mental health, and behavior issues. My goal is to help them gain insight about themselves. I address a variety of issues including abuse, self-esteem, suicidal thoughts, peer relationships, body image issues, sexually reactive/abusive behaviors, and even decrease symptoms related to depression, anxiety, PTSD, and ADHD. I help them identify their strengths and then work with them in developing their strengths for personal growth.

Individual Therapy
I provide individual therapy to adults who have a desire to work through their past trauma, depression, anxiety, addictions, grief and loss, life transitions, and improve their communication and relationships. I create a a safe environment that is free of judgment in which individuals feel comfortable to express themselves openly, which assists us in working together to explore the challenges you face. I work with you to identify solutions that fit your needs, and assist you in developing healthy coping skills to cope with these stressors.

Family Therapy
I believe that it is essential to take a holistic approach when working with families. Each person plays an instrumental role within families, and parental support is key in making progress. I utilize a strengths-based approach in order to nurture each family members' strengths. I assist parents in developing effective communication and parenting skills. I help children develop insight about their parent's thought process/actions and assist parents in exploring how their children perceive the world around them in order to help them understand one another better.

Couples Therapy
I work with couples to help them develop a healthy relationship with one another by strengthening their communication skills. I assist them in developing a deeper understanding of one another and greater intimacy by exploring the challenges they face within their relationship. I work with couples that are experiencing a variety of issues such as communication issues, infidelity, divorce, separation, infertility, and sexual dysfunction.
